Privacy
What Luko records, why, and what you can do about it.
Last updated:
In short
- Unless you accept cookies, we record nothing that identifies you or follows you from one day to the next. We only count: pages shown, visits per day, what is searched for, and how often people go to a store.
- If you accept, we record what you do on the site under a random number. We do not know your name, and we keep no e-mail address and no IP address with it.
- We pass what we record to no other company, and we use no advertising or statistics service of another company.
- When an advertiser's banner is shown or clicked, we count it by day and by kind of device, without recording who saw it.
What we count for everyone
- Each page shown: its kind (the home page, a search, a list, a product), the language and the kind of device, added to the day's total.
- Each visit of a day. To count a visit once, we work out a code from the day, your network address and your browser. It changes every day, cannot be turned back into your address, and is linked to nothing else. The address itself is not kept.
- Each time someone goes to a store from here: which store, which product, the price shown, the language and the kind of device. No visitor number is kept with it.
- Each search: the words searched and how many products were found, added to the day's total. No visitor number is kept with it, and these words are deleted after a year.
These counts tell us how the site is used and what each store receives from us. They say nothing about you.
If you accept cookies
We then record:
- what you search for, and the lists and products you open;
- the stores you go to from here, and the price shown at that moment;
- the kind of device and browser, the language, the page you arrived on and the site you came from.
It is used for two things: to show you products that fit you on the home page, and to learn what people look for and do not find.
Cookies
- cmp_vid: a random number for this browser. Kept 13 months, renewed on each visit. Only after you accept.
- cmp_sid: a random number for one visit. It ends 30 minutes after your last page. Only after you accept.
- cmp_ref: the site you came from, kept for two minutes at most at the moment you accept.
- csrftoken: protects the contact form against misuse. It is set when you open the contact page and identifies nobody.
The contact form
When you write to us we keep your name, your e-mail address and your message, to answer you. They are not linked to what you do on the site.
Against spam, we remember for five minutes that a message came from your network address and your e-mail address. After that it is forgotten.
What others can see
- Product pictures are loaded from the stores' own servers. When a page shows them, those stores receive your IP address and your browser's details, as with any picture on the web.
- When you press "Go to store" you leave for the store's site, which can see that you came from Luko. From there the store's own privacy policy applies.
- Like every website, our servers keep technical logs of the pages requested (time, address, IP address, browser) to keep the site running and secure. They are not combined with the records above.
How long we keep it
What we record about visits is deleted automatically one year after it was recorded. To have it deleted sooner, write to us.
A message you sent us is kept until we delete it. To have it deleted, write to us.
The counts that identify nobody are kept.
Your choices
- You can withdraw your consent at any time: write to us through the contact form. Contact us
- Removing this site's cookies in your browser stops the recording at once. What was recorded before is deleted when it is one year old.
- You can ask us what we hold about you, or to correct or delete a message you sent. Contact us
